At the 2009 Annual Meeting, the ARRL Board of Directors voted to convey two awards for 2008: The Bill Leonard, W2SKE, Professional Media Award and the ARRL Humanitarian Award.

Ted Randall, WB8PUM, was named the recipient of the Bill Leonard, W2SKE, Professional Media Award. Every week, Randall hosts the QSO Radio Show, featuring guests who have ties to the amateur community, such as country and western artist Ronnie Milsap, WB4KCG, Amateur Radio licensing instructor Gordon West, WB6NOA, and Monitoring Times publisher Bob Grove.

  • Davidson County / Nashville ARES (Amateur Radio Emergency Services) - Monday nights at 7:00 P.M. on the 146.67 Repeater
  • Davidson County Skywarn Nets - Activated during severe weather on the 146.67 Repeater
  • Middle Tennessee Hospital and Emergency Services Disaster Preparedness Net - 3rd Thursday of each month at 12:00 P.M. on the 146.67 Repeater 
  • Nashville Amateur Radio Club (NARC) Information Net - Monday nights at 7:30 P.M. on the 147.015 Repeater
  • Bible Study Net - Weekday mornings at 6:00 A.M. on the 147.015 Repeater.  The longest running net in Nashville, every weekday morning since 1977.
  • Robertson and Sumner Counties Skywarn Net - Tuesday nights at 7:00 P.M. on the 147.345 Repeater
